Carolynn's Corner - May 24, 2010

I intended to post this page last Wednesday.  Is anyone else busy?  Eli celebrated his two-year old birthday party with us.  Mom made a falublous poster, and everyone enjoyed her cupcakes.

Deiva sings a wonder song about Eli.  It goes like this:  "Old McDonald had a farm, Eli, Eli O..."

*************************************************
Today, Monday, we had a fire drill.  No, the children are not too young to start learning.  It would be helpful if you practiced this at home also.  We sound the smoke alarm, and  explain that this indicates there might be a fire.  If we see smoke, we cover our nose and crawl to the door; otherwise we walk quickly.  I also explain that if there is ever fire on your body, you should stop, drop and roll.  Then I ask the children to repeat "stop, drop and roll"; and to do it.  They think it is lots of fun.  I think "heaven forbid".

P.S.
I haven't learned how to delete photos yet - as you may have noticed!
