I'm trying to make up for lost (corresponding) time. I'll tell you a few things about our yesterday.
We went across the street to visit my nieghbor, Georgina. It was her 94th birthday, and she was delighted by the children singing happy birthday to her. The children walked over, very calmly, holding hands. I was so proud of them.
Oops. I don't know how to delete the planter box photo, which was an error.
Another activity the children love is to bring in the trash cans, and then was the bin. They are surprisingly strong, and careful.
After that we visited the garden to bury compost, pick green beans for the children and clover to feed to the chickens.
Our tomatoes are beginning (finally) to ripen. The large orange globes that look like pumpkins are actually kabocha squash, which is food of the gods. It is the most delicious squash imaginable. We have lots of cucumbers - still fuzzy, and several melons in the works. This is my favorite time of the year.
